Hardware
You probably already have most of what you need.
No forced terminal purchase. Start with internet, one device and a kitchen printer.
The minimum to start
- Internet at the restaurant.
- One device to operate on.
- An Ethernet-capable printer for the kitchen or bar.
- QR codes for the tables. We provide the codes.
Phones and tablets
Android devices work well and keep the entry cost low. As a guideline, look for at least 4 GB of RAM and 2 GB of available storage.
Your team can use handhelds for tableside ordering. Guests use their own phones, so there's nothing to hand out and nothing to sanitize.
Printers
- Kitchen and bar printers need an Ethernet port.
- Connect them by network cable rather than Wi-Fi. It's far more stable during service.
- You can add printers by station as you grow: kitchen, bar, expo.
If the internet goes down
You can switch a device to cellular data and keep taking orders and card payments while the connection is restored. The point isn't to pretend nothing ever fails: it's to give your team another way to keep service moving.
Growing later
Start with one station and add devices, printers by area or fixed screens for the kitchen and bar when it makes sense. Nothing has to be bought up front.

Do I need to buy new POS terminals?
No. You can start on devices you already own.
Do you sell the hardware?
We can point you to what works. Hardware isn't bundled into the subscription.
Can staff use their own phones?
Yes, with the server app and the right permissions.
Will my current printer work?
If it has an Ethernet port, most likely. Send us the model and we'll check.
