Cardholder help

Why is Snap It Go on my card statement?

Short answer: it's most likely a purchase you made at a restaurant that uses Snap It Go to take orders and payments.

What Snap It Go is

Snap It Go is a restaurant technology platform. Restaurants use it to show their menu, take orders at the table or for pickup, and accept payments from a guest's phone.

Snap It Go is not a bank, a lender or a subscription service for consumers. If the name shows up on your statement, it is tied to a purchase at a business that uses the platform.

Why the name may appear instead of the restaurant's

Depending on how the restaurant is set up, the descriptor on your statement may show the platform name, the restaurant name, or both. That's why a charge can look unfamiliar even when you remember the meal.

How to identify the restaurant

  • Check the date and time of the charge against where you ate that day.
  • Compare the amount, including tip, with your receipt or emailed receipt.
  • Look for a city or location in the descriptor line.
  • Check with anyone who was with you, or who may share the card.

Pending vs completed charges

A pending charge is an authorization your bank is holding. It can show a different amount than the final one, and it usually settles within a few business days. A completed charge is the final amount the restaurant submitted.

Tips and adjusted amounts

If you added a tip after the initial authorization, the pending amount and the final amount can differ. That difference usually resolves when the charge settles.

Duplicate charges

Seeing the same amount twice is often a pending authorization sitting next to the completed charge. If both are still there after a few business days, contact us with the details below.

Refunds

Refunds for a meal, an order or an incorrect amount are issued by the restaurant that served you. If you can't reach the restaurant or you're not sure which one it is, contact us and we'll help you locate the transaction.

Charges you don't recognize at all

If you're confident no one on your account made a purchase, contact your card issuer to dispute the charge and protect your account. Then contact us so we can look up the transaction on our side.

What we need to look up a transaction

  • Date and time of the charge.
  • Exact amount.
  • The last four digits of the card. Never send the full card number.
  • The descriptor exactly as it appears on your statement.
  • The city, if it appears.
